While studying costume at The Arts Institute at Bournemouth I discovered a love of dressmaking. I went on to follow a career in costume and fashion, working on films such as the Harry Potter series, Pirates of the Carribean and The Other Boleyn Girl to name a few. I also worked in theatre, including productions for The Royal Shakespeare Company (Stratford), Glyndebourne Touring Opera, Disney on Ice and many more. Later work included the catwalk, where I was honoured to sew in the sample rooms at Jasper Conran, where I learned many couture techniques and worked with the most beautiful fabrics and dress patterns. I have also taught sewing at Ravensbourne College of Art and The Birmingham Institute of Art and Design on their respective fashion degrees.
My varied sewing career has given me a wealth of skills and knowledge and now I enjoy using these to make beautiful creations for brides who dare to look beyond the high street.
